Six civilians injured as blast hits eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad

JALALABAD, Afghanistan, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- Six civilians were injured as a blast rocked Jalalabad city, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, on Wednesday, spokesman for the provincial government Attaullah Khogiani said.

"Six people, all civilians, have been injured in the blast that rocked Jalalabad city at around 3 p.m. local time (1030 GMT)," Khogiani told reporters.

Suicide attack kills 3, injures 5 near cricket stadium in Kabul

KABUL, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- At least three people were killed and five others injured after a suicide attack occurred near a cricket stadium in Kabul on Wednesday, local media reported.
