KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Three civilians were killed in a roadside bomb blast in Afghanistan's southern province of Kandahar on Wednesday, a local official said.
The incident took place after a van touched off an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Jagroom locality, Maiwand district at around 8 a.m. local time, district Police Chief Sultan Mohammad told Xinhua.
"The victims died on the spot and no bystander was hurt in the blast," he added.
