Afghanistan’s President Ashraf Ghani said insurgent groups will fail in their attempt to create a divide between Shia and Sunni Muslims in the country as the Afghan people remain united against terrorism and extremism.
Speaking at a gathering of religious scholars and members of the public on the eve of the Night of Revelation of the Holy Quran in Kabul, Ghani also touched on the role of religious scholars in promoting peace and stability in the country.
