HANNO, Saitama -- The station staff of JR Higashi-Hanno Station called police on the morning of May 25 when what appeared to be two grenade-like objects were delivered to the station office, it has been learned.
The Hanno Police Station reports that a man believed to be in his 70s brought the two metal objects to the staff, telling them that he found them discarded in nearby bushes before walking away. The objects were roughly 30 centimeters tall and 5 centimeters in diameter at their thickest part. Police are currently confirming if the items are explosives.
