News Story: Vietnam, New Zealand boost army cooperation

Hanoi (VNA) - Deputy Minister of Defence Phan Van Giang received Chief of Army of New Zealand Peter Kelly in Hanoi on April 3.

Lieutenant General Giang, who is also Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), highlighted effective engagements between the two armies in line with their memorandum of understanding on defence cooperation signed in 2013 and the two countries’ comprehensive partnership.

He recommended the sides boost further exchanges of delegations and experience on UN peacekeeping missions.
