Hanoi (VNA) – As many as 12 police officers were injured as dozens of gunmen on April 3 attacked a police post in Yala province in restive Muslim-majority southern Thailand.
This was the largest attack in the area in many years, said Thai authorities.
About 30 gunmen surrounded a police post in Yala and fired more than 500 shots to the post, affirmed Major General Kritsada Kaewchandee, police chief of Yala province.
