NEW DELHI, March 21 (Xinhua) -- The armies of India and Nepal had concluded joint military exercises, Defense officials said Tuesday.
The exercises were held in northern Indian state of Uttarakhand.
"A regiment of Indian army and Nepalese army participated in the joint exercise named Surya Kiran - XI," a defense spokesman said.
"The exercises were aimed at training troops in counter insurgency operations and enhancing defence cooperation and military relations between the two countries."
