As the peace and order situation in the Philippines was becoming worrisome due to heightened ‘vigilante-type’ of killings, Senator Panfilo Lacson on Monday sounded the alarm to the Duterte administration to address such issues.
“I would advise General (Ronald) dela Rosa to form a special task force composed of intelligence and investigative personnel to address this particular issue,” he said in an interview at the Senate.
He cited the records of killings whereas two-thirds or about 4,000 of the reported 6,000 executions were allegedly perpetrated by vigilante groups.
