Quang Ninh (VNA) – A counter-terrorism drill, the first of its kind between Vietnamese and Chinese border localities, took place in the Mong Cai international border gate area in the northern province of Quang Ninh on November 4.
Border defence forces from Quang Ninh and their counterparts from Dongxing city, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, joined the exercises, during which they set up a mock scenario that two out of three unidentified persons used fake passports to leave Mong Cai international border gate and enter China via Dongxing border gate to conduct terrorism activities.
Upon learning about the news, Dongxing border guards alerted their counterparts at Mong Cai border gate via a hotline and came up with solution.
