News Story: NUG Leaders To End Their Tension In Near Future

A source close to the Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah's office told TOLOnews on Sunday that the National Unity Government (NUG) leaders met with each other on Saturday and agreed to create a framework within the upcoming 15 days in order to end their rift.

Meanwhile, a number of rights activists said the NUG leaders have failed to lead the country and that they are concerned about the consequences of the tension between President Ashraf Ghani and CEO Abdullah.

"How is it possible to step forward towards the future in this complicated situation created by a two-headed government which is not legitimate according to the law and with the leaders that are losing opportunities for their own benefits," said Naeem Ayubzada, member of Afghanistan civil society networks.
