News Story: China ships reaction to PH coast guard entering Scarborough Shoal

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ships, the BRP Tubbataha and MCS 3010 have started patrolling the disputed Scarborough Shoal on 5 November, said PCG commander Rear Admiral William Melad on Monday.

“Since three days ago there are no longer Chinese ships, coast guard or navy, in the Scarborough area,” he said, as quoted by Reuters. “If the Chinese ships have left, then it means our fishermen can resume fishing in the area.”
