DHAKA, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh has stepped up security in the airport in Dhaka two days after a knife attack there to thwart any further incident, the country's Civil Aviation Minister Rashed Khan Menon said Tuesday.
After attending a high-level meeting on the airport's security situation Tuesday, Menon told journalists that "there was no lapse in security of the airport even earlier."
He said the security measures at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport have been heightened in view of the attack.
Menon ruled out for now issuing red or orange alerts at the airport.
