JAKARTA, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian police have arrested five people responsible for a violent protest last week in Jakarta, which left one dead and dozens others injured, police said on Tuesday.
Jakarta Police spokesman Awi Setiyono said the police had got evidence and data on the violence at the end of the rally against Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahja Purnama over his alleged blasphemy comment on the Koran.
"We have owned sufficient initial evidences to declare the five suspects and made arrests," he said at the Jakarta police headquarters.
