PUL-E-KHUMRI, Afghanistan, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- At least seven Taliban militants have been killed and eight others injured as clash flared up in Burka district of the northern Baghlan province with Pul-e-Khumri as its capital 160 km north of Kabul on Friday, a local official said.
"A group of Taliban rebels stormed Burka district early Friday but police resisted forcing militants to flee after leaving seven dead bodies and eight others injured behind," district police chief Mohammad Ali told Xinhua.
