North Korea warned the United States on Wednesday that Washington’s "reckless" military action was pushing the region to the "point of explosion," in a statement carried by the state media.

"These extremely reckless provocations of the U.S. imperialist warmongers are pushing the situation on the Korean peninsula to the point of explosion hour by hour," Pyongyang’s statement, published by the state news agency KCNA, read.
KCNA emphasized that the Korean People's Army had the means to counter all US acts of aggression and provocation, and was closely watching its military activity on the Korean peninsula.
