The Australian Defence Force has completed its fourth air shipment of military stores to Erbil in Northern Iraq.

A RAAF C-17A Globemaster flying from Tirana, Albania completed the delivery to Erbil  on 16 September 2014.

The mission was completed without incident and the C-17A has returned to Al Minhad Air Base in the UAE.

The delivery of small arms ammunition was first inspected and cleared by Iraqi officials in Baghdad.

Australia’s contribution in Iraq continues to be coordinated with the government of the Republic of Iraq, regional countries and our international partners.
