The Philippine Navy recently (August 15, 2012) participated in the distribution of relief goods aimed to alleviate the plight of about 6,000 families in Malabon.

The Naval Staff for Civil Military Operations, N7 facilitated the availability of two (2) M35 trucks and escorts from the Navy Civil Military Operations Group (CMOG) as requested by Ramon Mitra III, a former Marine Captain and son of former House Speaker Ramon V. Mitra, Jr.

The young Mitra requested for two (2) M35 trucks and escorts from the Philippine Navy to transport relief goods that will be distributed to those affected by the flooding brought about the southwest monsoon rains last week.

The relief goods were transported from Philippine Marine Corps Auditorium in Marine Barracks Rudiardo Brown, Taguig City to Malabon at around 8 A.M.
Mitra is a member of the Angel Brigade, an organization composed of female Marines associated with various civic organizations.
