USA: Raytheon contract for sensor system support to enhance the F/A-18 for all users

Raytheon Co., Goleta, Calif., is being awarded an $11,611,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to procure up to 56,488 hours of sensor system software and hardware support in order to update, improve, and enhance tactical capabilities of the F/A-18 A-F/EA-18G aircraft.  

Work will be performed in Goleta, Calif. (59 percent), and El Segundo, Calif. (41 percent), and is expected to be completed in February 2015.

This contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy ($7,431,040; 64 percent); and, under the Foreign Military Sales Program, the governments of Malaysia ($1,337,587; 12 percent), Finland ($961,391; 8 percent), Switzerland ($877,792; 8 percent), Australia ($501,595; 4 percent), and Kuwait ($501,595; 4 percent).  

Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  

This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to FAR 6.302-1.  

The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68936-12-D-0001).
