The Defence Ministers of the Five Power Defence Arrangements (FPDA) are in Singapore for the FPDA 40th Anniversary Celebrations, marking four decades of commitment and cooperation amongst the FPDA member nations.
The Ministers convened for the 8th FPDA Defence Ministers' Meeting this morning. Chaired by Singapore Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen, the meeting was attended by Australian Minister for Defence The Honourable Stephen Smith MP, Malaysian Minister of Defence Dato' Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi, New Zealand Minister of Defence The Honourable Dr Wayne Mapp, and the United Kingdom Secretary of State for Defence The Right Honourable Philip Hammond MP.
