To express the respect for the self-sacrifice toward Taiwan’s national martyrs, Japanese Senator Masahisa Sato and the Director of Interchange Association Japan, Naoki Kasahara went for visiting Martyr’s Shrine in Taipei today. They got to know the history of Martyr’s Shrine, the martyrs’ patriotic deeds and pondered over their loyalty and integrity to the country during this visit.
The rite of ritual was held by Masahisa Sato. During the dignified solemn and respectful ritual, all Japanese guests recalled those national martyrs’ patriotic sentiment and paid highest regards to them for their spirit of defending the country and self-sacrifice for the righteous cause.
According to Masahisa Sato, it is highly appreciated to Taiwan’s loving kindness through donation to Japan’s disaster relief after the earthquake and tsunami. He feels very honoured to visit the Martyr’s Shrine personally and is very appreciative of Taiwan’s hospitality.
