(PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii)

Cheyenne's commanding officer, Cmdr. Gary Rogeness, commented that the crew is extremely excited and well prepared to get underway.

"The crew has worked and trained very hard leading up to this deployment," said Rogeness. "I have the utmost confidence that this will be a very successful deployment."

For many crewmembers of Cheyenne, this deployment will be their first where according to Rogeness; they will be conducting many training exercises and qualifications as well being available for any tasking which comes their way.

"This deployment will be the first deployment for a majority of the crew," said Rogeness. "Our goal is to maximize their training so they gain the most underway experience possible during our time at sea."
