Assistant Secretary Jose W. Fernandez travels to Mumbai, Kolkata, and New Delhi, India March 7 – March 11, 2011. He will meet with U.S. companies and American Chambers of Commerce, Indian industry representatives, and Indian government officials to discuss ways the U.S. private sector can enhance its role in the on-going development of Indian infrastructure.
Assistant Secretary Fernandez will speak on March 10 about potential U.S. partnership in building India’s infrastructure to the Conference on Creating Sustainable Cities, sponsored by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce in New Delhi. On March 7 he will deliver remarks to the U.S.-India Importers Council in Mumbai, promoting U.S. exports under President Obama’s National Export Initiative.
