News Story: More charred bodies found at fire-hit militant hideout in Bangladeshi capital

DHAKA, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh's security forces Wednesday afternoon found seven bodies burned beyond recognition inside a militant hideout that was devastated by a fire triggered by several heavy explosions Tuesday night.

Benazir Ahmed, director general of Bangladesh's anti-crime elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), told journalists Wednesday afternoon, "We've found the badly charred remains of seven people inside the hideout."

"We had information that there were militant Abdullah, his two wives, two children and two associates inside the hideout when it has been encircled by my force."

He said the militants were most likely killed in a series of suicide explosions that rocked the militant hideout Tuesday night.

The blasts resulted in a big fire visible from far off areas.
