NEW DELHI, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Indian Army Wednesday claimed to have killed several militants in a major operation along the border with Myanmar.
In a statement, the Indian Army's Eastern Command said that the operation was carried out by a dozen soldiers early this morning but also made it clear that the troops did not cross the international border.
The operation was carried out against militants belonging to NSCN-Khaplang, a terror outfit which is fighting for a separate state of Nagaland in northeastern India.
