New Delhi (VNA) – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 5 began his two-day visit to Myanmar with an aim of intensifying bilateral ties in the fields of security and counter-terrorism, ANI News reported.
Issues involved in trade, investment, infrastructure, skill development, energy and culture are also discussed during his meetings with Myanmar leaders, the Prime Minister said.
This is Modi's first bilateral visit to India’s eastern bordering country. Earlier, in 2014 he was (in) Myanmar in 2014 for the ASEAN Summit.
