KABUL, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- At least 29 militants have been killed and 15 others wounded during a series of operations conducted by Afghan security forces over the past 24 hours, the Defense Ministry said on Monday.
"The national security and defense forces have launched 13 clean-up operations and 17 special operations in 10 provinces. As a result 29 insurgents, including their three commanders, were killed and 15 others injured," the ministry said in a statement.
