KABUL, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- Ten insurgents were killed and 11 others wounded during a series of operations conducted by Afghan security forces across the country over the past 24 hours, the Defense Ministry said Thursday.
"Afghan National Security and Defense Forces have launched 13 cleanup operation and 20 special operations over the last 24 hours. As a result 10 armed militants were killed and 11 others injured," the ministry said in a statement providing daily operational updates.
