General Qamar Javed Bajwa |
ISLAMABAD, June 14 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday criticized the U.S. drone strike in the country and described the strike as "counterproductive."
General Bajwa's comments came a day after a U.S. drone strike reportedly killed a militant commander in Pakistan's northwestern Hangu district.

"Unilateral actions like drone strike are counterproductive and against spirit of ongoing cooperation and intelligence sharing being diligently undertaken by Pakistan," Bajwa said during his visit to Peshawar, according to the Pakistani military.
