MEHTARLAM, Afghanistan, June 16 (Xinhua) -- Four Afghan civilians were killed after a vehicle they were travelling touched off an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in eastern Laghman province Friday morning, the provincial government said.
"The incident occurred in Alingar district at 5:30 a.m. local time. The victims were local labors travelling to a construction site and their vehicle was also destroyed by the blast," it said in a statement.
The statement blamed the Taliban militant group for the incident and strongly condemned the attack.
Earlier on Friday, the country's Interior Ministry revised the death toll to four from a terrorist attack against a Shiite Mosque in western side of national capital of Kabul.
