ISLAMABAD, May 12 (Xinhua) -- Senior Pakistani, Afghan and NATO military commanders met in the Pakistan military headquarters in Rawalpindi in Punjab on Friday and called for cooperation to defeat Daesh (Islamic State).
An army statement said the security meeting among delegates from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Resolute Support Mission stressed the need to defeat Daesh through complementary efforts in respective areas of operations.
The trilateral meeting was followed by a Pakistan-Afghanistan bilateral meeting, in which both sides discussed measures of improving military coordination and cooperation, the statement said.
