News Story: Indian policeman decamps with 4 service rifles in Indian-controlled Kashmir

SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir, May 21 (Xinhua) -- An Indian policeman decamped with four assault rifles from post in restive Indian-controlled Kashmir, police said Sunday.

The policeman was posted at Food Corporation of India's guardroom in Budgam, 28 km south of Srinagar city, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir.

"A police constable Syed Naveed Mushtaq of Shopian has decamped with four service rifles from his place of posting last evening," a senior police official said. "He has taken away service rifles of his fellow policemen and so far we are unable to trace him."
