News Story: Government troops kill two Abu Sayyaf militants in central Philippines

MANILA, May 15 (Xinhua) -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) said Monday that troops killed the two militants of the Abu Sayyaf group in Bohol province in the central Philippines.

AFP spokesman Brig. Gen. Restituto Padilla said clashes broke out around 5:30 p.m. in Calape town in Bohol province on Monday, resulting in the death of one militant. The other one tried to flee but was eventually killed.

With the death of the two militants, Padilla said all the 11 Abu Sayyaf bandits that landed in Bohol province abroad three boats last April had all been neutralized.
