Infuriated North Korea on Wednesday in a statement said it will resort to its “toughest counteraction” against US amid increasing presence of super-carrier led strike group heading north, state-run media reports.
According to Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Pyongyang’s spokesman for the foreign ministry said “the DPRK (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea) is ready to react to any mode of war desired by the US.”
The US Naval strike group Carl Vinson scrapped a planned trip to Australia this weekend, instead, it headed northward in a show of force against growing threats from the North Korea.
