Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – Malaysia and Canada have committed to working together to combat terrorism, Malaysian Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said following his meeting with Canadian counterpart Harjit Singh Sajjan on April 25.
Both sides agreed to coordinate in their defence industries, military-to-military cooperation and strategic matters of interest, he said, adding that though monitoring the Islamic State group of militants is primarily the home ministry’s role, his ministry is also responsible.
