Hanoi (VNA) – Southern Thailand was rocked by a series of attacks just a few hours after King Maha Vajiralongkorn signed a new constitution.
Thai police on April 7 reported 22 attacks, including at least five small bomb blasts, in Muslim-majority southern Thailand. There was neither immediate claim of responsibility nor reports of casualties.
The incidents aim to create disturbances, ruin the government's credibility and create fear among people, said Pramote Prom-in, spokesperson of local security forces.
