NEW DELHI, March 6 (Xinhua) -- India called on all Asian countries Monday for a joint action against terrorism which it described as the "most pervasive and serious threat."
"Terrorism remains the most pervasive and serious challenge to global security while threat of terror is transnational ... A collective action should come from Asia," Indian Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar said at a security conference.
India has been a victim of a number of terror attacks, notable among them being the 2008 Mumbai massacre, that claimed the lives of thousands of its nationals in the past decades.
