President Ashraf Ghani has blamed the Taliban for the necessary presence of foreign troops in Afghanistan as well as the existence of 20 other “terrorist groups” in the country.
Ghani was speaking during his inauguration of the 26th round of Parliament’s working year.
“The Taliban is the main factor contributing to the presence of foreign troops in Afghanistan. We have asked again for their presence because of terror.” Ghani said. “There are 20 terrorist groups in Afghanistan and the Taliban has paved the way for their emergence.”
Ghani ones again warned the Taliban against their continued violence in the country and said that “those Taliban who are killing our people are the enemies of our nation like Daesh and other terrorist groups.”
“Our security forces are able to defeat the country’s enemies and foil their attacks. Those who don’t want peace, will be eliminated,” Ghani said.
