Neighboring countries should stop their involvement in the violence in Afghanistan, says former Jihadi leader Abdul Rab Rassoul Sayyaf.
Addressing a ceremony of commemorating the 28th anniversary of the Soviet forces withdrawal from the country on Thursday, he called on neighboring states to desist from interventions in Afghanistan’s security situation.
Sayyaf said stability in the whole region is connected with stability in Afghanistan.
“Our neighbors should not derive pleasure from our country’s miseries; they will be caught up in this misery. This is not my saying; this is what the Islam Prophet Mohammad [peace be upon him] says,” he said.
Meanwhile, he said terrorists’ war in Afghanistan is against Islam.
In his address a member of the Council for Protection and Stability of Afghanistan Mohammad Umer Daudzai commended the security forces services.
“We thank all security and defense forces. They continue the way of Jihad which we ended it 28 years ago,” Daudzai said.
