ISLAMABAD, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday presided over a high level meeting of senior civilian and military officials to review security situation following a series of attacks that killed and injured dozens of people, officials said.
The outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan and a splinter group of Pakistani Taliban Jamaat-ul-Ahrar claimed the attacks in Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta and the Mohmand tribal agency over the past three days.
There had been a pause in the terrorist incidents in Pakistan because of the security forces operations but the recent attacks have shocked the country.
