ISLAMABAD, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani security forces have launched a new major anti-terrorism operation across the country, the army said in a statement on Wednesday.
"The 'Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad' aims at indiscriminately eliminating residual and latent threat of terrorism, consolidating gains of operations made thus far and further ensuring security of the borders," the statement said.
It said Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Navy, Civil Armed Forces and other security law enforcing agencies will continue to actively participate in, intimately support the efforts to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.
