BEIJING, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- China and U.S relations should feature no conflict, no confrontation, mutual respect and win-win cooperation, according to a commentary published Monday by the Communist Party of China's mouthpiece the "People's Daily."
The paper lauded the encouraging trade figures and increased investment between the two major powers, stating that a prosperous China can benefit America and vice versa.
Sound China-U.S. cooperation can lay a solid foundation for global peace and stability while discord or conflict between the two would be a disaster for them and the whole world, according to the article.
