A number of militants affiliated to Daesh attacked an Afghan Local Police outpost in Nangarhar province on Thursday night, but were faced a quick response by the forces, said Malik Amir Khan, a tribal elder in the province.
Khan said the insurgents attacked a local police outpost in Kot district where a tribal elder, four local policemen and 12 Daesh fighters were killed and seven police force members were wounded.
He warned that many parts of Kot are under serious threat by Daesh militants.
