News Story: Vietnam, China to foster security cooperation

Beijing (VNA) – Minister of Public Security To Lam had separate meetings with Chinese State Security Minister Chen Wenqing and Commander of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force Wang Ning in Beijing, China on January 13. 

The meetings were held in the framework of the ongoing visit of Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to China from January 12-15.

During the meetings, the two sides noted with joy the growing relations between the two nations across the fields, including the ties between Vietnam’s Public Security Ministry and China’s State Security Ministry and the People’s Armed Police Force, which have contributed to deepening the traditional relationship and the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two Parties, States and peoples.

Regarding the cooperation between Vietnam’s Public Security Ministry and China’s State Security Ministry, the two sides agreed to continue exchanging delegates at all levels and promote the sharing of information on international and regional issues of common concern, and on terrorist, transnational and cyber crimes.
