News Story: Pakistan army chief confirms death sentence to 4 hardcore terrorists

ISLAMABAD, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday confirmed death sentences to four "hardcore terrorists" after they were found guilty of carrying out terrorist acts.

It is the first time Bajwa confirmed such death sentences after he assumed office on Nov. 30.

"Today Chief of Army Staff confirmed death sentences awarded to another 4 hardcore terrorists, who were involved in heinous offenses related to terrorism, including killing of innocent civilians, officials of Law Enforcement Agencies and Airport Security Force," an army statement said.
