(NATO's) Resolute Support (RS) and U.S forces commander in Afghanistan General John W. Nicholson has said he is concerned about Russia, Iran and Pakistan's support to terrorist groups in Afghanistan.
Nicolson said the infiltration of foreign players in Afghanistan is alarming for the United States and Afghanistan.
"Second influence would be the malign influence of external actors and particularly Pakistan, Russia and Iran and we are concerned about the external enablement of the insurgent or terrorist groups inside Afghanistan and in particular where they enjoy sanctuary or support from outside government," he said.
The embassies of Pakistan, Iran and Russia would not comment on the issue.
Meanwhile, the American general counted corruption and weak management as the two biggest challenges for Afghan forces.
