QINGDAO, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- A national laboratory in the east China coastal city of Qingdao reached an agreement with an Australian organization to jointly build a research center on southern hemisphere oceans.
The center will promote the sharing of marine knowledge and experience, scientific vessels and facilities, and marine research and educational resources between the two countries as well as forge a partnership in marine observation, said Wu Lixin, director of Qingdao National Laboratory for Marine Science and Technology (QNLM).
