KABUL, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- Two Taliban militants were killed and five others wounded in two separate blasts in Afghanistan's eastern provinces, the Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
Two anti-government militants died after an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted at the roadside exploded prematurely in Andar District, eastern Ghani province on Wednesday night, the ministry said in a statement.
In a similar incident, five local Taliban commanders were wounded after an IED detonated accidentally in Dohab District, eastern Nuristan province on the same day, said the statement.
