Hanoi (VNA) – Director of the US Peace Corps Carrie Hessler-Radelet is paying a working visit to Vietnam from October 31 to November 4, seeking to discuss when and how to implement the programme.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Hai Binh informed that to the pressmen attending the Ministry's regular press conference in Hanoi on November 3.
He said during US President Barack Obama’s trip to Vietnam in May 2016, Vietnam and the US signed a framework agreement on the Peace Corps operation in Vietnam.
The ongoing visit of Director Carrie Hessler-Radelet is intended to discuss the schedule to realise the programme, he added.
