Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade confirmed on Thursday that the government has deployed maritime patrols ships to Panatag Shoal.
“That is farthest from our mind right now,” Tugade said referring to the vessels that had left for Panatag on Thursday – the BRP Tubbataha and BRP Davao del Norte.
Tugade said the government is “roving inspection” and “testing the waters” by sending Philippine Coast Guard vessels to the shoal.
