Terrifying revelation on Albuera mayor Espinosa’s death
Detainees at the Leyte Sub-Provincial Jail in Baybay City said on Monday they witnessed events when police officers shot dead Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa and another inmate, Raul Yap inside their cells, CNN reports.
“They brought a big cutter with them. When they saw a CCTV camera, they left. When they returned, there was no more light for the camera. They went inside with the light turned off,” said a witness who covered his face with a scarf to hide his identity.
“All detainees were ordered us face down on the floor,” witness added.
“They said if we say anything about this, they will return and shoot us.”

Jail warden makes a shocking statement on Mayor Espinosa’s death
Baybay City Provincial Jail (BCPJ) warden Homobono Bardillon said his personnel could hear Albuera mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr. pleading with them to spare his life and not to plant evidence shortly before he was killed, Philippine Star reports.
“They heard gunshots fired inside the cell of Espinosa where the slain mayor was begging for his life from the CIDG operatives,” Bardillon stated.
